My name is Trân, a third-year student at the University of Economics and Finance Ho Chi Minh City, majoring in International Economics. I used to think that E-commerce was quite “distant” from my major, as it seemed to focus more on technical aspects and digital marketing rather than economics. However, after taking the E-commerce course taught by Dr. My, I developed a completely new perspective on how economic knowledge can be applied to digital technology—and vice versa.
From the very first classes, Dr. My did not simply present abstract theories. Instead, he consistently placed concepts within real business and market contexts. He introduced practical, easy-to-understand case studies, carefully explaining each function and activity, analyzing stakeholders, and highlighting key points to pay attention to. This approach not only helped me gain valuable knowledge of the subject but also allowed me to apply what I learned directly to real-world situations, sharpening my thinking through concrete and thorough analysis.
In addition, Dr. My always encourages students to develop themselves, make use of their youth, and continuously build soft skills. To him, theory alone is never enough—practice is essential, and practice requires many supporting elements. He once told me: “Just do it. Do your best. I will review it and give comments, correcting mistakes if there are any. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes—making mistakes helps you learn more and become better.” I truly felt his trust and encouragement. For me, that trust became a kind of “shield” throughout my learning journey with him—it gave me peace of mind and confidence to complete my work to the best of my ability.
What impressed me most about Dr. My is his ability to recognize the untapped potential within each student. He patiently guides us step by step, offering clear directions and solutions. He does not follow rigid or stereotypical teaching methods. Instead, he teaches with sincerity, drawing from his knowledge, experience, and real-life practice. His enthusiasm in the classroom reflects his dedication and has been a great source of motivation and inspiration for me and for many other students who have had the opportunity to learn with him.
Through studying with Dr. My, I have not only gained subject knowledge and practical application skills, but also developed creative thinking, acquired additional skills, and clarified my future goals. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. My for his dedication and for the meaningful values he has brought to us as students.
